Our Mission

JHW Hospitality Consulting allows our team to work hand in hand with valued and passionate catering professionals. Our goal is to lend support with advice, objectivity and proven methods to ensure both qualitative and quantitative excellence. Such deliverables are based on our team’s collective experience of over one hundred years. We create customized action plans based on specific client goals and help facilitate in a completely confidential manner. Such efforts are designed to increase gross revenue, net profit, and systems to promote sustained excellence.

Our Founder
Jon Wool is considered one of the special events and catering industry’s foremost experts and personalities. Following his tenure as a Senior Vice President with Wolfgang Puck Catering, he established Finesse Cuisine Catering and Events, a boutique catering company serving Chicagoland and beyond. Jon regularly conducts workshops at institutions such as DePaul University, Chief Executive Boards International, and the Coleman Center for Entrepreneurship. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Hospitality Management at Kendall College and he is central to the national Catersource Consulting Unit. As a consultant, coach, and speaker, Jon has been applauded for his warmth, humor, and ability to clearly communicate complex concepts.

Jon's unique areas of expertise are new business development and catering sales and operations.  He teaches smaller companies to bring a business methodology to their operations and a style of communication, service, and etiquette to ensure success.  He helps larger companies become more client-focused and service-driven.  Jon also helps companies create revenue through pipeline optimization, improved sales capabilities, and competitive analysis.  Moreover, he helps eliminate the fear factor that many great caterers experience when focusing on sales.
